PADI Discover Scuba Diver allows you to experience the thrill of diving in the safety and comfort of a local swimming pool and you’ll be amazed just how easy it is. Within a short time you will be gliding through the water with no effort and wondering why you didn’t try it years ago!
What does the program involve?
Discover Scuba Diving is run over approximately an hour during the day and is designed to allow you to have fun underwater while understanding the basics of diving safety and technique. Prior to the pool session, your instructor will give a brief “classroom” session where you will have the basics of diver safety, the skills and exercises you will enjoy and the equipment that is to be used when diving explained. The pool session will begin in the shallow end where you will be shown how to fit your equipment and practice breathing from the scuba tank. Once you are ready, it’s time to take that first breath underwater! All this happens in the shallow end so you can gain confidence quickly. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to breathe and move and in no time, you will be gliding effortlessly below the surface!
