Diving Maldives – It was a dive trip of a lifetime to #Maldives on MV Ocean Sapphire, a luxurious 35m liveaboard operated by Top Class Cruising. With a group of 12 fun-loving and enthusiastic divers, we made our way to Maldives for a 8D7N dive safari, looking forward to an awesome time #diving together! With a spacious diving dhoni, beautiful cabins, cosy sundeck, jacuzzi, bar, exceptional hospitality by staff and crew and more, this liveaboard definitely exceeded our expectations!
The itinerary started from central Male to the Deep South of Maldives, spanning through multiple beautiful atolls such as Vaavu, Felidhoo, Meemu and Thaa before finally ending at Laamu. Each atoll has its own unique character, with lots of channel and drift diving. Diving was wonderful…clear blue waters with visibility of 15-20m, beautiful marine life and unspoiled corals, what more can we ask for? It was sharks, sharks and more sharks every dive! We also spotted manta rays, eagle rays, giant sting rays, giant octopus, tuna, bumphead parrotfish, moray eels, turtles, schools of barracuda and lots more!
The most unforgettable dive was the night dive at Alimatha Jetty, where we came up close and personal with huge nurse sharks! We also visited sandbanks on some days, with pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and beautiful sunsets…wow!
