Another great weekend at Hantu, a local island just 45 minutes from Singapore. We completed a total of 8 dives over the weekend.
Congratulations to two newly certified PADI Open Water Divers. Well done, Ella and Steffen.
Sophia and Stryder, completed 2 of the required 4 dives for their PADI Open Water Diver Course too and they are scheduled to complete their courses later this month. Also congratulations to Bryan for completing his PADI Side Mount Diver Course.
It’s been a while since I did 2 hour dives at Hantu. I enjoyed being back in the water after suffering from a head cold recently. I managed to find 1 seahorse at the Northern Jetty. It was a yellow seahorse and it was very well camouflaged. It was exactly the same colour as the soft sponge it was holding onto. It was difficult to see its delicate tail wrapped around the sponge and I only just managed to spot it when it moved its head ever so slightly. There were also a lot of nudi’s at the jetty and the viz was ok at around 3-4m.
GS-Diving PADI Instructor Julius saw 6 seahorses over the weekend and was equally as happy, as were his students.
Cheers, Gary Savins
