Trip Report 5th and 6th January 2013

New PADI Open Water Divers from HantuTo start the new year, we did two morning dives on Saturday and another two morning dives on Sunday at our local island off Singapore called Hantu.

I was conducting the PADI Open Water Diver Course with Charlotte and Jade. Jade’s father Bob, also joined us as a recreational diver on both days.

Saturday was relaxing as we did a bunch of skills. Viz was ok at 4 metres and down to zero when the skills were being done. However Sunday was the highlight for my newbies. Imagine, on your second day of ever diving, you see a seahorse, a cuttlefish and a huge puffer in great viz of up to 5 metres. Now that does mean that Hantu’s jetty is full of surprises.

Congratulations to Charlotte and Jade in obtaining your PADI Open Water Diver Certifications!
