Trip Report Vesak Day 30 and 31 May and 1 June 2015 – Local Diving

With 50 divers diving local Singapore waters over the Vesak Day long weekend, the GS-Diving team were rather busy over the 5 half day trips. GS-Diving PADI Instructor Julius and GS-Diving PADI Dive Master Kelvin were in charge of the boat over various trips.

Here are some comments and photos from two regular scuba divers:

Chay Hoon:

Green waters, poor visibility (2m max), yet another amazing dive trip! 1st dive I went down with my torch which failed to swtich on (argh). But was happy enough to follow wrasses cleaning other fishes.

During the 2nd dive at the wreck, I was totally focused on finding the rare fishes. Surprisingly chanced upon a small Janss’pipefish in the crevices which took me an hour to finish taking shots from the fish.

Heng Pei Yan:

Hot and sunny Saturday afternoon dive at Pulau Hantu with GS-DIVING. Our first dive was at the western small patch reef where we encountered two torzuma shrimps and Chay Hoon found a large murex laying lots of eggs. Biggest find on this dive was actually a juvenile lionfish at 15m deep!

The second dive was at the wreck where I spent most of my time admiring the fish hanging out at the wreck. Koh Kwan Siong spend his entire second dive taking videos at the wreck.
